Complete BBQ Pork Spare Ribs Recipe
Nothing says dinner like a plate full of BBQ pork spare ribs. Your family will be begging for more of these succulent and tasty pork spare ribs.
These pork spare ribs can be prepared in your smoker or in your oven. The finishing touch is the final minutes that are spent caramelizing the BBQ sauce over the hot grill.

INGREDIENTS:
- 2 pounds of pork spare ribs
- 2 tbsp paprika
- Salt
- Freshly ground pepper
- 2 tbsp Greek one spice (optional – if not using just add more paprika)
- 6 tbsp tomato sauce
- 4 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- A pinch of salt
- 4-6 tbsp mango-orange juice (or whatever juice you have in the fridge)
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
RIBS PREPARATION:
- Mix together paprika, salt, freshly ground pepper & Greek spice in a baking tray.
- Rub generously unto spare ribs then arrange them on the tray with the fatty side up.
BBQ SAUCE PREPARATIONS:
Combine the remaining ingredients for the BBQ sauce. Taste and adjust as needed.
OVEN INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Cover ribs tightly with aluminum foil.
- Bake the ribs for 1 1/2 hours.
- Remove the baking tray from the oven and take off the aluminum foil.
- Coat over the top with BBQ sauce then flip around spare ribs to coat all sides.
- Arrange spare ribs so that the concave part is facing you . Add another layer of BBQ sauce to coat the top of spare ribs.
- Serve with reserved homemade BBQ sauce.
SMOKERÂ INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat the smoker to 225 degrees F
- Smoking the ribs for four hours
- Check the ribs each hour and mist or mop them with an apple juice mixture to keep them moist
- At the end of the smoke transfer the ribs to the hot grill, sauce and caramelize the BBQ sauce onto the ribs.
- Serve with reserved homemade BBQ sauce.
