Grill The Perfect 2 Inch Steak

When you are in charge of grilling steaks you want to be sure you know how to grill them perfectly. Mark Lobel demonstrates how to grill the perfect 2 inch steak without messing them up.

He uses hardwood charcoal on one half of his kettle grill. The other half is for indirect heat. Mark suggests bringing the steaks to room temperature for about 30 minutes before grilling. Olive oil, sea or kosher salt and black pepper are the only additional ingredients used.

Make sure you test the steaks for their desired doneness using a meat thermometer. Here’s the internal temperatures for the different levels.

  • Rare is 120-130 degrees
  • Medium-Rare is 130-140 degrees
  • Medium is 140-150 degrees
  • Medium Well is 150-160 degrees
  • Well Done is anything over 170 degrees

Enjoy and be the BBQ hero with these perfectly grilled steaks!
