Here’s a brand spanking new BUDS getting ready for its first cook. I don’t think he had to weld anything on this smoker. This guy is planning on smoking a couple of racks of St Louis style pork ribs.
He made some nice modifications to his existing Char-Broil horizontal offset smoker that he discusses on this video too.
He mentions that he greased up the sides of the drum with food fat. He’s using Kingsford Competition charcoal for the smoke. I like the three risers that he uses that allow him to adjust the airflow without having to bend over all the time.
What do you think about the use of the magnetic discs for the airflow controllers?
