A few of the videos that have been uploaded mention upgrading the thermometer on your smoker. The Brinkmann Sportsman Smoker for example has a really crappy thermometer that simply shows warm, ideal and hot but no actual temperature.
It’s pretty difficult to really know what the temperature inside the smoker actually is with a gauge like the one that comes with the smoker. It’s even worse when it’s cold outside to get any kind of real read on the temperature.
Here’s one of the least expensive solutions to the temperature problem. There are certainly other options but this one is pretty painless on your wallet. Here’s to better temperature control!
