Smoked Thanksgiving Turkey, Smoked Turkey

Smoked Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner

One of our fellow smokers, Vim shared a picture of his smoked Thanksgiving turkey. It really doesn’t matter whether it’s Thanksgiving, Christmas or any other holiday. There’s just something about the smoke drifting off a smoked Thanksgiving turkey that just makes it hard to wait.

Smokers and turkey’s go together very well. One of the key things to remember though is to make sure that you brine the turkey before you put it in the smoker. If you skip the brining process it will be very difficult to keep the meat on the whole bird moist and juicy.

When is the last time you smoked a turkey? Did you brine it first? Share your thoughts on smoked Thanksgiving turkey, or any other smoked turkey.
